Most Luxe Soft Mattress
Purple RestorePremier Hybrid Mattress
Pros
- Soft but incredibly supportive
- Great for anyone with aches and pains
Cons
- Even the firm option is a bit squishy
This is the mattress I personally use. It works because my relationship has a sleeping dichotomy. I want a firm bed, my girlfriend wants soft and conforming. Purple’s gel grid is the best conforming tech on the market—it hugs and supports you without doing too much of either. And while I still consider the firm version pretty soft, it’s good enough.
The first huge benefit of Purple mattresses is that they’re great for temperature regulating. I sleep hot, but rarely will I wake up too hot on this Purple. The second is the support it provides, especially for anyone with any sort of chronic pain. If you need a mattress to hug you, I’d go with this Purple.

Parachute The Mattress
Best Natural Luxe Mattress
Parachute The Mattress
Pros
- All natural materials
- Feels as good, if not better, than any of the other mattresses on this list
- More firm than foam or latex mattresses
Cons
- Not great if you want a super soft bed
It’s weird that memory foam is so widely loved, given that it’s a plastic polymer. Latex seems a bit healthier, given it’s rubber derived. But trying to find a great, luxury mattress that’s made out of natural materials is damn near impossible.
That’s excluding Parachute. The brand uses layers of wool and coils. That’s it. There’s no bullshit air chambers or layers of plastic. This thing is just wool, cotton, and steel coils. That might sound a bit too old-school, but the construction allows the Parachute to rival any of the mattresses with newer, trendier materials on the inside. There’s a bunch of tiny micro-coils in the mattress that make it excellent at responding to pressure. And, at one of the better price points for the category, I’ll recommend this mattress to pretty much anyone.

Saatva Classic
Best Value Luxe Mattress
Saatva Classic
Pros
- Good price
- Has a classic mattress feel
- Saatva white glove service
Cons
- Even the plush options are quite firm
Saatva is probably the most popular option on this list, and for good reason. Within the category, their mattresses are incredibly affordable, and they’re top of the line comfort wise. The classic can come in whatever firmness you desire, and you can choose between two heights for however much support you need.
Add Saatva’s lovely white glove service on top of that (that will even help remove your old mattres), and you’re looking at one of the most luxurious sleep experiences on the market.

Casper Wave Hybrid Snow

Pros
- Incredible cooling tech, never runs hot
- Good support with a nice bit of cushion
Cons
- Technically medium firmness, but it leans plush
If you habitually sleep hot, we found Casper’s Hybrid Snow to be the coolest mattress on the market. There’s a bunch of Casper’s tech in it, and everything has a weird name like HeatDelete or AirScape. The only thing you need to know is that this mattress keeps you ultra cool.
Beyond the cooling, it’s a great medium mattress that works for most sleepers.

Four Seasons Signature Firm Mattress
Pros
- Hotel-level comfort
- Great cooling for a mattress that’s not specifically made for it
- All three firmness options are plenty supportive
For the premier hotel sleep experience, you go straight to the source. Of course, Four Seasons makes an incredible mattress. I love a firm mattress, so this one was an absolute dream, but they also make a medium and a plush that feel even more hotel-like.
Beyond the luxury hotel branding, it’s all business here. Luxe foam and coils really make this thing worth the high price tag. Plus, the textiles used all across the outside a really, really top notch.

Affordable Luxury
Casper The Original
Pros
- Incredible value for the price
- Lightweight, great for renters who have to move every few years
- True medium firmness
Cons
- Just won’t last as long as hybrid models that have coils
No, this is not a luxury mattress. It’s Casper’s base model. But, for anyone looking to buy their first $1,000+ mattress, this technically is luxury. At this price point, there’s nothing else that’s of the same quality as the Casper Original. I did a full review of Casper’s budget mattress, and it was (honestly!) one of my favorite mattresses I’ve slept on.
