Title News A new tool is introduced to check whether a building permit is required for simple repairs of a building
Assessment
The State Spatial Planning and Construction Inspectorate (Building Inspectorate) presents another new automatic tool for checking whether a building permit is required for the planned simple repair works of a building. The Construction Inspectorate strives to provide its customers with innovative and convenient services, so the automatic questionnaires created by the institution’s employees are modern, simple-to-use and easy-to-understand tools for all users, which attract a lot of attention from customers every year.
An automatic questionnaire is being presented – the fourth tool developed by the Building Inspectorate employees, with the help of which, in just a moment, without submitting any official inquiries, it is possible to check whether a SLD is required for planned simple repair works. Repair work can affect not only the appearance and functionality of the structure, but also its safety, so the new tool will facilitate the process of obtaining the necessary information, prevent possible damage and ensure that the construction work is carried out safely.
The Building Inspectorate is pleased that the previously created automatic questionnaires have gained great popularity – last year alone, more than 15,000 residents used these tools (10,916 residents were interested in the obligation of SLD for the construction of new buildings, 4,849 for the obligation of SLD for building reconstruction, and 446 for the obligation of SLD for major repairs).
Please note that after the inspection and it is determined that the construction works are carried out without the SLD (when it is mandatory), the construction works are stopped and the builder is required to eliminate the consequences of illegal construction; Violators are also subject to administrative liability for detected violations. Even in cases where legal acts and territorial planning documents allow the legalization of illegally performed construction works, the builders have to pay the fee for the legalization of arbitrary construction. Thus, in the case of arbitrary construction, not only financial and reputational damage is experienced, the riskiness of construction participants increases (they receive more frequent inspections by inspectors), but also, most importantly, their own safety and that of those around them are at risk, in many cases environmental damage is caused, property damage is caused to property co-owners or neighboring plots owners or managers. Therefore, in order to prevent possible violations and to help construction participants quickly and easily find out whether the construction of a new structure, simple, major repair or reconstruction requires a SLD, the Construction Inspectorate invites you to use modern tools, which you can find here:
Mandatory construction permit documents for simple repairs of the structure
Mandatory construction permit documents for the construction of new buildings
Mandatory construction permit documents for major repairs
Mandatory construction permit documents for reconstruction
It is enough to answer a few questions in the questionnaire and you will see the answer you are interested in regarding the SLD obligation on your computer or mobile phone screen in just a minute or two.
