FK Anykščiai team recorded an important victory in the Sunday Football League (SFL).
The Anykštėnai team, fighting for the prizes in the A division, beat the Salininkai club 2:0 in front of their own spectators.
Among the winners were K. Šimkus and J. Petuchovas.
The opponents finished the match with an incomplete lineup, because in the second half a player from the Vilnius team was sent off the field for unsportsmanlike behavior.
After 11 rounds, FK Anykščiai is in 5th place (17 points) in the A division, but only five points behind the second place.
Anykštėnai will play their next home game on September 3, when at 3:00 p.m. in the central stadium of the city will meet the leading team of “Lentvarios” in the championship.
