At the meeting of the Anykščiai district council in August, there was a question regarding the application to determine the number of positions of civil servants of the mayor’s political (personal) trust.
The council will decide whether to approve the number of positions of civil servants of the mayor’s political trust up to six.
Anykščiai district municipal council in 2023. April 20 the decision determined the number of positions of civil servants of political (personal) trust of the mayor – three. The positions of Director of Administration, Vice Mayor and Mayor’s Advisor were determined. Later, one additional position contributed, that is, the position of secretary of council meetings.
The explanatory note states that taking into account the complex situation of the Anykščiai district municipal hospital, the establishment of a Psychiatry day hospital, the establishment of a Health Center, the ongoing modernization of medical institutions in order to ensure the smooth operation of health and social institutions, the changes in the Law on Local Self-Government of the Republic of Lithuania and other legal acts are necessary additional positions of vice mayor and mayor’s advisor. Also, these positions are necessary for the coordination of business promotion policy, preparation and control of strategic activity planning.
It is proposed to the council to confirm that the positions of vice mayor and mayor’s advisor will be introduced additionally, and the total number of the team will increase to six. This number will include: the director of the municipal administration, two vice mayors, two advisers to the mayor, the secretary of the municipal council meetings. There is no mention of specific personnel in the draft decision.
