Statesman tells of Bigfoot encounter from 80’s.
Benjamin Irish has done some truly out of the box things in his life, and if you ask him why he throws caution to the wind or sands against the grain, he’ll tell you it’s because when he was a little boy, visiting British Columbia (yes, Canada, he is from the States), that he encountered the half-man, half-ape creature known as Bigfoot, Yeti or Sasquatch. (Circle your preferred moniker.)
Irish has worn a lot of hats in his life, a former boxing and wrestling promoter, a candidate for U.S. Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, a documentary filmmaker and most recently, a U.S. statesman of some sort, Irish could be featured in the news for a great many things, but instead he has opted to tell this story, and work on a YouTube video about it, claiming that when he ran into Bigfoot in the wilderness as a small child, that it changed his life forever–for the better. “I believed the impossible was sometimes possible.” Irish said.
The last Statesman, heck he was president even, to report sightings of Bigfoot was Teddy Roosevelt in his book “The Wilderness Hunter”. Irish is not exactly Roosevelt, however his unique history and his acts of diplomacy have given rise to Bigfoot’s fandom, yes the creature has quite a following, who note that the source and the character of Irish, combined with the nature of the story, lend credibility to the existence of these “wild men”.
Irish is believed to have sought assistance in releasing his story to the public from notable cryptid scholars, yes there is such a thing, including New York’s Natural History Museum and the famed Bigfoot story analyst Bob Gymlan, however both were uninterested.
“It was my understanding that the museum has a skull of a large humanoid someplace in its basement, and as for Gymlan well, I guess his work has moved from serious analysation to interviewing people that claimed to have Bigfoot as a childhood friend who came over for playdates.”
The promoter aise, Irish weaves a great tale for those who hold out that Bigfoot is more than a man in a monkey suit: https://youtu.be/TGB4GU5rins
