The delegation of Kaišiadori district municipality visited the city of Bendzin in the Republic of Poland. The meeting was held on the occasion of the 665th anniversary of the granting of city rights to Bendzin. During the visit, a delegation from the city of Obuchiv from Ukraine and a delegation from the city of Tatabanyja from Hungary also visited Bedzin.
In addition to participating in the anniversary events of the city of Bedzin, the highlight of the visit was the inspection of the new sports hall in Bedzin. The delegation visited a modern and contemporary sports arena, in the conference hall of which an official meeting of all delegations and discussion of cooperation took place. The inspection of the gym was a great opportunity to get acquainted with Bendzin’s sports infrastructure, which the city is developing and which pays a lot of attention to health and an active lifestyle.
The cooperation agreement between the municipality of Kaišiadorių district of the Republic of Lithuania and the city of Bendzin of the Republic of Poland was signed in 2004. It is intended to promote cooperation between the countries, developing long-term cooperation between Kaišiadori and Bendzin in the fields of economy, culture, education, sports, tourism and other areas.
